Building this web site has been a very long and complicated process, often frustrating at times. After the initial bliss of seeing my concept actually worked, a lot of technical issues, mainly browser compatibilities, really made the building of the site slow and difficult, sometimes even a chore. Such a work would have never been possible without strong motivation, especially since this web site, in my opinion, isn't as recognized as it should (it's not much linked by other Lynch site, for example). And, of course, motivation comes from people or tools supporting your work. Here are various thanks to people and companies that all allowed this site to exist. |

I'll start by some very provocative, it seems, thanks : thanks to Bill Gates and all the Internet Explorer team. I would never have wrote this if Microsoft in general wasn't getting all the hate it gets, especially from Macintosh geeks. The fact is, Internet Explorer never was a problem for me : every time I coded something according to W3C recommendations, it worked fine in Internet Explorer. This was a huge relief for me in this project. Thanks to Macromedia for the incredible tool that is Flash. It's thanks to Flash that you can hear sounds in this site, along with the most impressive animation in there, such as Club Silencio or the death of Laura Palmer. Something in particular I appreciate with Flash is how you can communicate between Javascript and a Flash animation, making Flash a tool that doesn't make you use Macromedia technology only. |

Thanks to my parents, Marc and Danielle Papillon, who always supported this project - even when it meant I was working on it fulltime and depended in part from their money, instead of me working on some paid job. Thanks to my brother Serge Papillon, who always took the time to check the latest site update to give me his opinion. Thanks to the man I love and live with for accepting my implication on this site and not brutally telling me I probably should do something else, even when he thought so. Thanks to a few people at alt.tv.twin-peak, to people who wrote a note on the guestbook, to people who sent me some nice mails (Olivier Riquelme and Roland Kermarec among others). And, obviously, thanks to David Lynch for being the artist he is, and thanks to you for being here. I hope you enjoy this site. |
